FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Community Christian Chargers. The Baby Rattlers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 22-25, 25-15, 25-12.
Community Christian found their leader in underclassman Violet McMillan, who had 36 digs and eight aces. McMillan is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.
FAMU DRS's record is now 1-15. As for Community Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. FAMU DRS will venture away from home to challenge Rickards at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. FAMU DRS is facing Rickards at the right time seeing as Rickards is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Community Christian, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Community Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
