Volleyball Recap: Lake Region Comes Up Short

Lake Region lost against Ellsworth back in September of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lakers came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-20.

Sophie Harmon was the offensive standout of the game as she had eight assists and six aces.

Lake Region's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ellsworth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Lake Region will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wells at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Ellsworth, they will head out on the road to face off against Hampden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
