University Prep owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Yreka Miners by a score of 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won four in a row.

The result came thanks to Jacob Lindell's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

At the plate, University Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Wrathall, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. David Wenham was another, earning two runs and one stolen base.

University Prep's win bumped their record up to 14-6-1. As for Yreka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
