Baseball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Monarchs vs. John Marshall Justices

The Meadowbrook Monarchs will head out to challenge the John Marshall Justices at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Meadowbrook and six for John Marshall.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Meadowbrook's offense. They lost 12-0 to Colonial Heights on Tuesday.

Tre Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, John Marshall came up short against Thomas Jefferson on Thursday, falling 11-2.

John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Meadowbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Meadowbrook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like John Marshall struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Meadowbrook took their win against John Marshall in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
