Softball Recap: Inglemoor Comes Up Short

Inglemoor couldn't beat Eastlake on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Vikings fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Izzy Vannoy (2028) and Alexa Saladin (2025) (PLU) did some serious damage despite the final result: Vannoy (2028) went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Saladin (2025) (PLU) went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Pearson (2025), who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Inglemoor and nudges their season record down to 13-6-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Eastlake, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

When Inglemoor and Eastlake next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Vikings will try to stop North Creek's four-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastlake will square off against Issaquah and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
