Basketball Game Preview: Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers vs. Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack

The Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers will face off against the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Joliet Catholic is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Carmel by a score of 51-48. The loss continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Corsairs: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Saint Ignatius College Prep didn't have quite enough to beat DePaul College Prep on Friday and fell 60-58. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Rams are ranked second).

Joliet Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5.
