Volleyball Recap: Glenbard North Takes a Loss

Glenbard North was the 2-0 winner over Lake Zurich when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Zurich found their leader in freshman Yani Oblakov, who had four digs and two aces. Kuba Rytel also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Glenbard North's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lake Zurich, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Coincidentally, Glenbard North and Lake Zurich will both be playing Buffalo Grove the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
