Softball Recap: Whitko Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Whitko's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Northwestern Tigers on Wednesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Whitko saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Long, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Whitko's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Northwestern, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Whitko will venture away from home to take on Central Noble at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Northwestern, they will be playing at home against Rossville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
