Football Game Preview: Genoa Area Comets vs. Liberty Center Tigers

The Genoa Area Comets will head out on the road to challenge the Liberty Center Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Genoa Area comes in on 11 and Liberty Center on 12.

Genoa Area is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 34-33 win over Triway.

Meanwhile, Liberty Center's offense rose to the challenge against an Eagles defense that boasted an average of only 7.85 points allowed on Friday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 42-10 victory over Liberty-Benton. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Genoa Area's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Liberty Center, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.

Genoa Area couldn't quite finish off Liberty Center when the teams last played back in November of 2018 and fell 43-40. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
