Basketball Game Preview: Aledo Bearcats vs. Brewer Bears

The Aledo Bearcats will square off against the Brewer Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Aledo sitting on five straight victories and Brewer on seven.

Aledo is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Azle: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Aledo blew Azle out of the water with a 64-35 final score. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brewer). They claimed a resounding 65-38 win over Azle. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Hornets are ranked 913th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aledo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Brewer, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8.
