Soccer Game Preview: Kalani vs. Kalaheo

The Kalani Falcons and the Kalaheo Mustangs will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kalani's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kalani is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Castle, who was ranked 13th at the time (Kalani was ranked 15th). The Falcons and the Knights finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Kalani as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Kalaheo fell victim to Castle and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Kalani's draw gives them a new season record of 2-6-2. As for Kalaheo, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1.
