Basketball Preview: Lackey Chargers vs. North Point Eagles

Isaiah Mansaray was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 19 on his way to 29 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Gordon was another key player, putting up ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Lackey smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, North Point was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 60-56 to Huntingtown. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hurricanes 13-9 in the first quarter.
North Point's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Lackey, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2.
Lackey didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against North Point in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win.
