Carlson is 8-2 against Roosevelt since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Marauders will square off against the Bears at 4:30 p.m. Carlson will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Carlson can't be too worried about heading out to take on Roosevelt: they just beat Trenton at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Marauders walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Trojans on Monday.

Addison Butt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Skinner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Emilee Konkus was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Carlson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 12-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Thunderbirds as they made off with a 14-1 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.
Shaylan Gourlay made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Gourlay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Chlipala was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jordan Passuth, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Carlson pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their record now sits at 16-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carlson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carlson might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
