Basketball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom lost against Tohopekaliga back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Freedom Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Tohopekaliga Tigers. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Freedom lost, don't look at Riccardo Palombarini. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 19 en route to 20 points along with six boards and three steals. The game was Palombarini's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elensky Horatius, who posted five points and 11 rebounds.

Freedom now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Tohopekaliga, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-44 win against Innovation on the 20th. As for Tohopekaliga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-45 victory against Satellite on the 20th.
