Recap: Riverside Argonauts vs. Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas

If the Riverside Argonauts were riding high off their 78-40 takedown of the KIPP Legacy Lions last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Riverside fell 91-84 to Indianapolis Metropolitan on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (78), Riverside still had to take the loss.

Riverside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bini Hopper, who scored 27 points. Hopper continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Hopper, who scored 20 points.

Indianapolis Metropolitan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Petty out in front who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. RJ Smith was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds.

Riverside has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Riverside on the road again on Wednesday and play against Eminence on January 24th. Eminence has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they will head out on the road to take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
