Basketball Recap: Western Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Western Christian lost against Carter back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Western Christian Fighting Lancers took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carter Lions.

When it comes to explaining why Western Christian lost, don't look at Brian Wallace. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. The game was Wallace's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Mendoza, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Western Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-7. As for Carter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Christian and Alta Loma will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. Carter will take on Chaparral in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
