Softball Recap: St. Francis Borgia Knights vs. Linn Wildcats
St. Francis Borgia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Linn Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Averi Glosemeyer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
St. Francis Borgia's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Linn, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
St. Francis Borgia is taking a road trip to take on Ursuline Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ursuline Academy is coming into the game with three straight defeats at home, meaning St. Francis Borgia will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Linn has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Westminster Christian on the 4th.
