ConVal and Hollis-Brookline are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. ConVal hasn't scored more than 13 points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, ConVal had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of Pelham. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Pythons are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Hollis-Brookline, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They took down Stark 21-6 on Friday. The Cavaliers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

ConVal better keep an eye on Jacob Velez. He was instrumental in Hollis-Brookline's win, rushing for 123 yards and one score, while also picking up 58 receiving yards.

ConVal's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hollis-Brookline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything came up roses for ConVal against Hollis-Brookline in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
