Baseball Recap: Proctor Has No Trouble Against Watertown

After only one run in their last game, Proctor made sure to put some runs up on the board against Watertown on Tuesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Cyclones with a sharp 27-1 victory. With that win, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 11 runs per game.

JAADIEL ROMERO and George Garrett made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, ROMERO tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Meanwhile, Garrett tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, ROMERO went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Garrett went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That double marked the first that ROMERO has hit this season.

In other batting news, DENISIO COLON and KEYTHER CARRASCO did most of the damage at the plate: COLON went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI, while CARRASCO went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those runs marked the first that COLON has scored this season. JOE MARINO was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Proctor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Proctor back to even at 2-2. As for Watertown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Proctor wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Bishop Ireton on the 22nd. As for Watertown, they will challenge Central Valley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
