Basketball Recap: Calvary Day Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jenkins last Friday, Calvary Day came back down to earth. The Calvary Day Cavaliers fell to the Buford Wolves 76-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (70), the Cavaliers still had to take the loss.

Calvary Day's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Buford, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Day will take on Islands at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Islands likes a good challenge. As for Buford, they will challenge Central Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Buford will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
