Softball Recap: Credo Comes Up Short

Calistoga hit Credo with a 18-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Gryphon lost 25-7 to the Wildcats. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Zoe LaFleur was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Harper Malone was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Credo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Calistoga, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
