After losing to West Laurens the last time they met, Howard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 59-46 on Tuesday. The Huskies pushed the score to 49-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

The win made it two in a row for Howard and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for West Laurens, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howard and Rutland will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. The Huskies will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.89 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Laurens, they will welcome Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
