Softball Recap: Melba Comes Up Short

If Melba was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Vision on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Parma Panthers on Wednesday, falling 16-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Olivia Atack made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Melba's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Parma, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Melba has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 defeat against Marsing on the 25th. As for Parma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-1 win against Nyssa on the 24th.
