Baseball Recap: Staunton River Has No Trouble Against Franklin County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christiansburg, Staunton River was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Franklin County Eagles. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Staunton River pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Franklin County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
