Basketball Recap: Richmond Hill Starts Season with Win Against Glynn Academy + How To Watch

Richmond Hill had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 52-43 win over the Glynn Academy Terrors. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Terrors: they've now won three in a row.

Richmond Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Mock, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Mock a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Drew Nudo, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points and five steals.

Richmond Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glynn Academy only racked up five.

Several Terrors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Travis Young, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad McIntosh, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Glynn Academy fell to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Richmond Hill will take on Statesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glynn Academy, they will challenge Woodville-Tompkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
