Softball Recap: South Medford Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Roseburg

South Medford faced Roseburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers came up short against the Indians, falling 12-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this match were averaging 3.5 runs allowed.

South Medford is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Roseburg, they, and North Medford. As for the Indians, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
