Soccer Recap: Haverford Takes a Loss

Haverford lost against Downingtown West back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fords took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whippets. While losing is never fun, Haverford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Downingtown West are ranked sixth).

Haverford's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Downingtown West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-0-2.

Looking ahead, Haverford will head out to square off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Downingtown West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
