Football Game Preview: Union City Chargers vs. Hanover-Horton Comets + How To Watch

The Union City Chargers will face off against the Hanover-Horton Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Union City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 34 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Decatur on Friday. They took a 20-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hanover-Horton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-14 W against the Cardinals. Surprisingly, this marked the Comets' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Hanover-Horton's record is now 7-2. As for Union City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Union City against Hanover-Horton in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-13 victory. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
