Ellsworth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let John Bapst Memorial get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on ten straight.

The team relied heavily on Dawson Curtis, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Haskell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Ellsworth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Hermon faced Old Town in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Hawks didn't even let the Indians on the board, marking the Hawks' second-straight 6-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Hermon's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Ellsworth, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.

Ellsworth came out on top in a nail-biter against Hermon in their previous meeting back in May, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
