Rashan Gary is the nation's new No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2016, according to the recently-updated
247Sports Composite Rankings.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle takes over the top spot which was previously held by Allen offensive lineman Greg Little.
A transfer from Scotch Plains-Fanwood, Gary made a splash in his debut season for
Paramus Catholic (Paramus, N.J.). He recorded 55 tackles and 14 sacks, helping the Paladins to the non-public Group IV state final.
Gary has offers from coast to coast, but his 247Sports Crystal Ball points to five teams with the best shot to land him: Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.
Little now ranks No. 2 in the updated rankings, with IMG Academy defensive end Shavar Manuel rounding out the Top 3.
