The home team had won the previous three meetings between May River and Beaufort, and May River kept the tradition alive. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Sharks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trevor Konte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Mischik was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Fergus Varley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

May River has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Beaufort, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

May River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
