Kings Mountain had already won 15 in a row and they went ahead and made it 16 on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hickory Red Tornadoes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Friday.

While Kings Mountain won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19.

Denet Houey paced Kings Mountain's offense, picking up nine kills. Houey got some help from Abigail Hedgepath and her 16 assists.

Kings Mountain's win bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Hickory, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 23-4 record.

Kings Mountain has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against North Gaston on the 29th. As for Hickory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against West Iredell on the 30th.
