Volleyball Game Preview: Chesapeake Cougars vs. Oakland Mills Scorpions

Chesapeake hasn't had much luck against Oakland Mills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will take on the Scorpions at 5:30 p.m. Chesapeake will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chesapeake duked it out with Annapolis on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 3-0.

While Chesapeake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Oakland Mills came up short against Long Reach on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Scorpions in their meetings with the Lightning: they've now lost six in a row.

While Oakland Mills was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Long Reach's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 28-26.

Chesapeake's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Oakland Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
