Softball Recap: Farrell Steelers vs. Lakeview Sailors
Farrell had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their tough 19-2 defeat to the Lakeview Sailors on Monday might stick with them for a while. Farrell has not had much luck with Lakeview recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Giani Scott was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliayah Mathis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
The win got Lakeview back to even at 1-1.
Farrell will head out on the road to take on Reynolds at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeview, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Kennedy Catholic at 5:00 p.m.
