Football Recap: Michael Varuzzi Key Part of Team Effort in Terriers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Immaculata, St. Francis Prep was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Xavier Knights by a score of 21-14. The Terriers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

St. Francis Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Varuzzi led the charge by rushing for 28 yards and two TDs. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Varuzzi a new career-high. St. Francis Prep also got help from Hayden Muellers, who showed off his sure hands for 114 receiving yards.
