Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cypress Bay walked away with it. They blew past the Boca Raton Bobcats 3-0 on Tuesday. Considering the Lightning have won 11 games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Boca Raton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniela Duran, Mackenzie Rector, and Valentina Zorilla.

The win (which was Cypress Bay's ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-1-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine matches. As for Boca Raton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7-5.

Cypress Bay will face off against Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cypress Bay surely won't give up without a fight. Boca Raton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
