Basketball Recap: Bode Judge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lapel over Hamilton Heights

After flying high against Anderson Prep Academy last Monday, Lapel came back down to earth. The Lapel Bulldogs fell to the Hamilton Heights Huskies 63-59. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lapel's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bode Judge, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Craig, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Lapel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hamilton Heights, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Lapel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-44 win against Connersville on the 18th. As for Hamilton Heights, they will take on Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th.
