Softball Recap: Mercy Comes Up Short

The Mercy Jaguars came up short against the West Jessamine Colts on Saturday and fell 8-5. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rubi Messer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Emerson Shively was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mercy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for West Jessamine, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-14.

Mercy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Jessamine, they will face off against Meade County at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
