League recap: Landreth dominating on the mound for Foothill

Colton Landreth was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won one game and struck out nine batters.

The league's longest active winning streak belongs to Foothill (27-2, 12-1), undefeated over its last 15 games. Two of those wins came in the past week, including a 17-1 win over Paradise. Austin Coleman led the lineup this week with three hits and three RBIs.

Although Shasta surrendered only two walks this week, the lowest number in the league over that span, the Cougars are still tops for the season with just 53 walks over 176 innings this year.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Dalton Kelly, who turned in 11 Ks for Foothill. With 12 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks twenty-first in the league.



The Cougars' Brandon Erickson led the league with eight hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .391 and ranks first in the league with 36 hits.
