Baseball Game Preview: Charter Oak Chargers vs. West Covina Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Charter Oak will face off against West Covina. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Charter Oak managed to slip by West Covina the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers lost 7-1 to the Bulldogs on Monday.

For West Covina's part, the team relied heavily on Isaac Infranca, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Infranca has posted since back in February. Austin Nguyen was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

West Covina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for West Covina, bringing their record up to 17-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Charter Oak, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
