Soccer Game Preview: Mariner vs. Braden River

The Mariner Tritons will challenge the Braden River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Mariner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Cape Coral a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tritons, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Cape Coral with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kailey Schwandner (2), Caroline Orth (2), and Kamila Pena (2).

Meanwhile, Braden River put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with a 4-2 win over Fort Myers.

Mariner's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Braden River, their win bumped their record up to 13-0-5.

Mariner took their victory against Braden River when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 8-0. Will Mariner repeat their success, or does Braden River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
