Basketball Game Preview: Portage Northern Huskies vs. Lakeshore Lancers

Portage Northern hasn't had much luck against Lakeshore recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Portage Northern Huskies will host the Lakeshore Lancers at 7:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Lakeshore didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Gull Lake on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 528th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeshore has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Portage Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
