Baseball Game Preview: Mastery Warrior vs. Pitman Panthers

The Mastery Warrior will venture away from home to face off against the Pitman Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mastery is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Mastery took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Medford Tech, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warrior skirted past the Jaguars 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warrior have posted since April 1st.

Derwin Cabrera was incredible, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Mastery is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Pitman got the win against Salem on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-3.

Pitman got a massive performance out of Carter Snyder, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Payton Miller, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Pitman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Mastery now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pitman, their record now sits at 6-11.
