Basketball Recap: Global Concepts Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jose Castro and Eric Davis

Global Concepts lost against Holland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Global Concepts Gators took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holland Dutchmen. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eric Davis and Jose Castro certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Davis went 8 of 15 en route to 17 points and six rebounds, while Castro dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Castro a new career-high in boards.

Global Concepts' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Holland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Coming up, Global Concepts is taking a road trip to square off against Lackawanna at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holland, they will square off against Allegany-Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
