Soccer Game Preview: Tillamook vs. Astoria

Tillamook is 8-2 against Astoria since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cheesemakers will venture away from home to face off against the Fishermen at 7:00 p.m. Tillamook will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Tillamook had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt St. Helens on Thursday. The Cheesemakers never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Tillamook's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Meanwhile, Astoria has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 11. They and Banks finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Astoria have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Tillamook's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. Astoria's draw gives them a new season record of 1-6-3.

Everything went Tillamook's way against Astoria in their previous meeting back in September, as Tillamook made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cheesemakers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
