Baseball Recap: Ambridge Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ambridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Hampton Talbots by a score of 5-0 on Tuesday.

Not much got past Joe Leseiko, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Hampton off the board. Leseiko also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ambridge is 3-0-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ambridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Baker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ambridge now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Hampton, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Ambridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Talbots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
