Greeneview had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Stebbins Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Gabbie Burkett and Maddie Leslie made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Burkett didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Leslie pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Burkett scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Leslie went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaycie Christian, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Looking ahead, Greeneview is taking a road trip to challenge Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stebbins, they will welcome Beavercreek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stebbins is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
