Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage lost against William Blount back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Governors by a score of 5-3. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Gennoe, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for William Blount, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage will challenge Sequoyah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for William Blount, they will square off against Karns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Governors are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
