It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Skyline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Millbrook Pioneers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since May 22, 2024.

Mackenzie McIntyre tossed a big game, tossing eight innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carleigh Baugher was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Meyah Jenkins, who went 3-for-5 with one home run.

Skyline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Millbrook, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Skyline beat the Pioneers by a score of 8-7 later that day.
