Softball Recap: Harlan County Comes Up Short

Harlan County managed to slip by Shelby Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Black Bears lost 10-2 to the Wildcats on Saturday. The Black Bears' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Halanah Shepherd made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Harlan County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Shelby Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harlan County will head out to face off against Corbin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shelby Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Pike County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
